Dinalynn Rosenbush

speech-language pathologist, coach, mom, and grandma

After more than 30 years working with families, I’ve learned something powerful: parents don’t need to become therapists to help their children grow. What you need is clarity about what your child needs, encouragement and support along the way, and permission to trust that you can do this. That belief became The Language of Play™—a mindset that turns everyday moments into meaningful communication progress.

  • The Language of Play™ is a parent-centered approach that blends speech science with everyday life. Instead of pulling children out for isolated sessions, I equip parents to build communication skills naturally during real moments at home. It’s practical, relationship-based, and designed to create lasting change.

  • I primarily support families with young children through the elementary years. My strategies are especially helpful during the foundational speech and language development stages.

  • Yes. I support families navigating speech delays, language disorders, listening challenges, social communication differences, and related diagnoses, whether or not they are already receiving speech therapy services. I also work with parents of children who are struggling but may not have a formal diagnosis.

  • Mentorship and 1:1 support include scheduled sessions, but the strategies are designed to fit naturally into daily life—not add hours of extra work. I teach you how to integrate practice into your daily routines.

  • As parents learn what to notice, they usually start seeing changes after the first session.  Learning what to look for helps you see the results growing. You will notice stronger connection, improved listening, clearer speech, and reduced frustration. Progress builds steadily over time as both you and your child gain skills.

  • I do not accept insurance. My services are private-pay, which allows me to focus on individualized, relationship-centered support rather than insurance limitations.

  • If you want steady guidance in a community, mentorship may be a great fit.  If you want a strategy for personalized, long-lasting results, rapid change, or you have specific concerns, 1:1 support is likely best. I’m happy to help you discern the right next step.

  • Many children who struggle do not meet strict school criteria. That doesn’t mean support isn’t needed. We can proactively strengthen skills before frustration grows and the gap widens.

  • My primary focus is coaching and equipping parents. When appropriate, I may interact with your child during sessions, but the long-term impact comes from empowering you.

  • This is mentoring and parent coaching rooted in speech-language pathology. It is not medical or educational therapy, but it is grounded in over 30 years of clinical and educational experience.

  • That’s wonderful. My support complements existing services by helping you reinforce goals at home and better understand what your child needs between sessions. I can support you with your IEP and school communication as well.

  • I teach you what to look for so  parents usually start to notice changes after the first session - especially if your focus is speech sounds.  Many families notice shifts within weeks, especially in connection and listening. Skill growth builds over time for both you and your child. As consistent strategies become part of everyday life, you will see the evidence clearly.
